Rahul Mehta - CO-CEO

Rahul Mehta has been involved in the underwriting and management of D&O facilities in Canada for over twenty five years. After working at Lloyd's MGA Stewart Smith Canada Limited from 1987, Rahul moved to a predecessor company of London Guarantee in 1993 when that firm acquired Stewart Smith's D&O business. In early 1994 he moved to Liberty International Canada to start their Management Liability operations. The launch of the Canadian D&O business took place in June 1994 with additional lines of Crime, Kidnap & Ransom and Fidelity being launched later that year.

In early 1995, Rahul assisted with the launch of the above mentioned lines into the United States and subsequently two additional products were launched namely accidental contamination and malicious products tampering coverage. Rahul further participated in the development of Liberty's European operations and the development of the management liability products out of Dublin.

Rahul was involved in risk management and general business consulting from 1998 to 2003 while at Dion Durrell & Associates and while working independently. In 2003 Rahul returned to underwriting with Zurich Canada,  concurrently, starting a mortgage firm focused on serving to unions representing over 900,000 members in Canada.

In 2007 Rahul left both the mortgage brokerage firm and Zurich to start ProRISK.

Adam Briklyn - President and CO-CEO

Adam has worked within the Management and Professional Liability insurance marketplace for over 25 years, both in Canada and the United States.  During his tenure he has gained a wealth of experience in primary and excess underwriting, direct insurance brokerage, in the development, growth and supervision of Managing General Underwriters, and in the field of insurance consulting.

Adam began his career in the insurance industry as an underwriter with the Chubb Insurance Company of Canada within their Executive Protection Department.  In his tenure with Chubb he held various senior positions in Canada and in the United States. Adam was integral in the opening of two Chubb branch operations in Canada, for the National launch of Chubb's Employment Practises Liability product offering and in his most senior capacity with Chubb & Son in the United States; Adam was responsible for the overall underwriting results of their Executive Protection Insurance portfolio within Chubb's General Insurance Division, USA.

Prior to becoming the President and the Co-CEO of Professional Risk Underwriters Inc., Adam was a Vice President of Marsh Canada Limited.  In addition to successfully negotiating and placing Directors' & Officers', Employment Practises, Fiduciary Liability and Crime insurance, Adam provided independent guidance to Marsh clients on their exposures to loss, the merit of their existing insurance coverage's, loss prevention and mitigation, claims resolution, and corporate and trustee governance effecting directors, officers, professionals and trustees.

Luis Navas - Vice Chair

Luis Navas was a co-founder of a leading MGA in Canada. He is founder of Global Governance Advisors which is Canada's largest executive compensation advisory firm with offices in Toronto, Calgary, New York and Miami. He has served for over 20 years as an advisor to Board's and top management of major corporations around the world.

Luis specializes in the innovative design and implementation of corporate governance and compensation programs that support organizational strategy and objectives, as well as shareholders' interests. Luis' background includes working in the investment industry in Corporate Finance and as a Mergers and Acquisitions specialist, at BMO Nesbitt Burns. He subsequently spent several years with Mercer Human Resource Consulting where he rose to the position of Senior Principal in their Global Executive Compensation Group, and has also been Senior Vice President of Governance & Compensation for one of Canada's largest corporations. Luis was National Practice Leader, Executive Compensation for Hay Group in Canada, and a member of the firm's Executive Management Committee and Global Practice Leadership Group. Prior to joining Hay Group, Luis co-founded Canada's first independent executive compensation advisory firm, and built it into one of Canada's largest.

Luis graduated with high distinction from the Richard Ivey School of Business with both Honours and Masters Business Administration degrees, and from the Harvard Business School's Executive Program. He is a faculty member of the Directors' College and a frequent speaker at professional conferences, national television, syndicated radio and writes extensively on all aspects of governance and executive compensation.
